Why You Can't Use Quick Fix to Pass a Drug Test
Contrary to its name, there is no quick fix to passing a drug test. The simple reason is drug testing technology has gotten so advanced that synthetic urines are detectable nearly 100% of the time.
Quick Fix garnered popularity among cannabis users alongside several other “novelty” urines on the market, including UPass Synthetic Urine. All these products are designed to be identical to human urine in terms of appearance, chemical structure, and smell.
However, due to the advances in technology, lab technicians have no problem identifying the differences between synthetic and human urine. This is especially true when they’re analyzing the molecular structure with a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) machine.
Unfortunately, manufacturers of fake urines will continue to boast about their efficiency. As such, it’s up to us to deliver the facts and inform you that this is not the quick fix you’re looking for.
How Does Quick Fix Work?
If you’re still interested in using Quick Fix, it’s key to ensure you’re using it properly in order to make the most of your experience:
Step 1
Since it only takes about 5 minutes to prepare your Quick Fix, it’s an optimal product for those with a busy day ahead of them. Quick Fix should be prepped the morning of your drug test in one of the following two manners:

Admittedly, the heating pad method isn’t as quick a solution as the microwave. However, if you plan, it’s unlikely to inhibit your morning routine.
Step 2
Once out of the microwave, check to ensure the bottle has reached the proper temperature – 92 to 98°F (33.33 to 36.66°C). This is the same temperature as human urine once it leaves the body. If the temperature is less than 90°F (32.22°C), place it back into the microwave for 3 seconds.
In some cases, you may find that your temperature slip is not working. Under such circumstances, the bottle is likely too hot. As such, you’ll need to let it cool down a while before continuing to the next steps.
Step 3
Once the Quick Fix urine is at the right temperature, place the cap back on the bottle and remove the provided heating pad. Shake up the pad to activate its heating elements, then place it back onto the bottle (on the opposite side of the temperature slip).
This heating pad will ensure the bottle of Quick Fix is left at the proper temperature for the next 8 hours. As such, you have the option to prepare this synthetic urine well before your scheduled drug test.
Quick Fix recommends you keep the bottle attached to your body for the following reasons:
- It allows you to carry the bottle discreetly and into the testing area without anyone noticing
- It ensures the urine will be kept warm and at the proper temperature for the test

Step 4
Once you’re in the testing area, you’ll be provided with a small container to urinate in. Instead of peeing into this, you’ll pull out your bottle of Quick Fix, shake it up, and then empty the product into the container. The purpose of shaking it is to ensure that small bubbles are formed, similar to human urine. Afterward, simply hand the test in and wait for the results.

If you’re a heavy marijuana smoker like we are, then there’s a good chance you wouldn’t pass a drug test unless you took a month-long tea break. Unfortunately, many companies and other job employers require drug testing – usually as a means to ensure their employees aren’t participating in illegal activities.
With cannabis legalization happening across the United States, fewer companies are targeting tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in their drug testing policy. Still, with marijuana not federally legal, many companies continue to check for the cannabinoid.
That said, many cannabis consumers seek out quick solutions for circumventing these tests. Unfortunately, options like Quick Fix aren’t the best solution. In most cases, a drug test will pick up that you’re using synthetic urine and subsequently fail you.
