Using the Pax Era
Please note: Era Pods are sold separately and may not be immediately available when you purchase your device. This device also has some features only accessible via a smartphone app “PAX Mobile,” which is no longer available for iPhone users. On November 15th, 2019, Apple removed the PAX app from its store (along with all other vaporizer apps). If you’ve already downloaded the app before this removal, it will still work. Thankfully, using the PAX Era vaporizer without the app is easy and you can still take advantage of its main features.
Pax Era Extraction and Temperature Control
The first thing you need to understand about the Pax Era is that it’s unlike any other device you might’ve tried before. Instead of a vaporizer that you can jam pretty much anything you want to vape into, this is a closed system. Just like a Keurig coffee maker, it only takes pods specifically designed for that device. While the pods might seem a little expensive at first for the amount of oil in them, you’ll be surprised at just how long they can last. That’s, in part, because each Pax pod has a double-ended silica wick that’s designed to squeeze out every last drop.
We should also point out that you don’t actually have to finish a pod either, before you try another one. One of the nice features of this device is that you can switch back and forth from different pods as many times as you want and you’ll never get any flavor transfer.
Temperature control is extremely easy. Even though this device has no buttons, Pax found a way to make it incredibly easy. If you want to change the setting, just give the device a good shake and it’ll begin cycling through one of five options. (The first four are factory-set, and the last you can customize via the app.) When your desired setting lights up, just pop your Pax Era pod back into the device and you’re off. Just shake and bake!

The Pax Era vaporizer takes simplicity to a whole new level, with a design that truly elevates your vaping experience. When you’re ready to roll, there are no buttons to press, and no waiting for the bowl to warm up. All you need to do is take a draw and the device instantly kicks into gear, and delivers a smooth, rich rip.
During this Pax Era review, this tiny device delivered some of the purest, best-tasting oil we’ve ever tried. The taste is unreal. And even with the largest exhales, it delivers smooth hits that will keep you coming back for more. In fact, in terms of potency and purity, the Pax Era delivers more like a dab rig than a vape pen. This device is definitely punching above its weight.
Like most vaporizers, we enjoyed some incredible flavors at the lower temperatures, and some beautiful big clouds at the higher settings. Many of the pod makers also offer a recommended heat setting for maximum enjoyment, which is a nice plus. For the most part though, during this Pax Era Review, the experience was nothing short of exceptional at pretty much any setting.

We have great news for anyone who’d rather be vaping than cleaning. With the Pax Era, all the messy stuff happens inside the disposable pods. So, when you’re done with the pod, you simply remove it, and the unit will still be perfectly clean! That’s right – NO cleaning!
Pax Era Battery Life
The Pax Era says you can get up to 200 hits per charge, but there’s a good chance you’ll never make it to that number, though it will still be plenty. A full battery should last you days, if not more, depending on your use. And if you do need a recharge, the whole process only takes a quick 45 minutes.

The Pax Era comes with a full one-year warranty. The device comes in a simply designed box that houses a USB charging cord and a small instruction manual. Because there’s no cleaning required, those are all the accessories you need.

But if you’re a big fan of freedom, fun, and flavor, it’s definitely worth the investment.

That really depends on what you’re looking for. The device sells for as little as $30, however, the Pax Era pods can feel a bit pricey. That said, this is hands down one of the easiest (for both beginners and experienced vapers), most convenient, and most flavorful ways to vape. Considering the experience, we think it’s worth every penny.
With just a few charges along the way, the Pax Era can get you high for up to a month. So, that’s an enthusiastic yes!
At medium temperatures, a moderate user can get at least two weeks from a pod, but during this Pax Era review, we found we could get up to a month if we used it a little less frequently. The great thing about Pax Era pods is that you don’t have to use one all up before you crack open a new one. So, you could use a few of your favorites interchangeably for months before they run out.
As long as it’s charged, just pop a Pax Era pod into the top of the device, inhale from the mouthpiece for 1-2 seconds, and your session is officially underway. That’s it!
