cannabis research, reported in a top science journal that explains in
precise detail how cannabis kills tumors, cuts off their blood supply,

In 1974
researchers at the Medical College of Virginia, who had been funded by
the National Institute of Health to find evidence that marijuana
damages the immune system, found instead that THC slowed the growth of
three kinds of cancer in mice - lung and breast cancer, and leukemia. A
quarter century later, scientists in Spain repeated this experiment and
got the same incredible results.
Medical Marijuana and
Driving: A Review of the Scientific Evidence
A 2002 review of
seven separate studies involving 7,934 drivers reported, "Crash
culpability studies have failed to demonstrate that drivers with
cannabinoids in the blood are significantly more likely than drug-free
drivers to be culpable in road crashes." This result is likely because
subject under the influence of marijuana are aware of their impairment
and compensate for it accordingly, such as by slowing down and by
focusing their attention when they know
a response will be required. This reaction is just the opposite of that
exhibited by drivers under the influence of alcohol, who tend to drive
in
a more risky manner proportional to their intoxication.
AMMA was founded in cyberspace on
October 27, 1999.
We are a group of volunteers working
together to implement, preserve and protect the rights of medicinal
cannabis patients through political activism. Our platform is based
on the idea of not bargaining away people's rights. We believe that
each
person will have different needs, which are best determined by the
patient
and physician. What works well for one patient may not work for
another.
Our activism includes aiding in the
defense of cannabis patients should they be so unfortunate as
to be prosecuted for their choice of medication. One way we are able to
do this is through the sharing of successful motions, writs,
declarations
and demands.
Because California seems
to be the testing grounds for medical cannabis patients it is not
surprising to see most of the information originating from that state.
AMMA's goal is to preserve California Health & Safety Code Sect.
11362.5, The
Compassionate Use Act of 1996. This was a well-written law that law
enforcement
officers say is too vague. However, this law was not vague to the
voters
of California when they voted for it. Law enforcement is trying to
re-write
the law, infringing upon the rights of the voters, placing conditions
that violate the California State Constitution. Law enforcement has
been
ignoring the will of the voters. There are political words that define
this type of behavior against citizens.

majority of compassionate Americans.
